YOUTH ART EXHIBITION NORTH WEST TASMANIA

The Devonport Regional Gallery and The Zone Youth Information and Access Centre have partnered to stage a terrific event for National Youth Week - the North West Youth Art Exhibition.

National Youth Week is the largest celebration of young people in Australia. Each year thousands of people aged between 12 and 25 participate in a range of events devised to celebrate and recognise the value of young people in the community. Each year organisers provide a theme for National Youth Week. The theme for 2010 was 'Live it Now'.

The Devonport Regional Gallery was proud to be a part of the National Youth Week festivities, providing two weeks in its busy exhibition calendar to exhibit the exciting, innovative and funky artwork created by young people from the North West Coast of Tasmania.

The talent of young artists from the North West Coast is evident in the variety and quality of their work - intriguing works on paper, experimentation with different mediums, and a selection of photography and ceramics.
